We are Auburn University’s premier programming event organized by students, for students. With this hackathon, Auburn University's Computer Science & Software Engineering strives to promote technical innovation and highlight students’ skills and abilities. Partnering with Major League Hacking (MLH), we aim to bring out the best and brightest students, not just from Auburn University but from other universities all over the United States.
On February 8-8, 2020, this 24-hour, full-steam-ahead event will challenge participants to learn, think outside the box, and push the limits on what they can build using technology.

Replace Paper Expo Maps Sponsored by J.B. Hunt
We’re at the beginning of our college recruiting season. During this time we have events at universities as well as some events on our corporate campus designed to inform on our organization and the positions we have available. Right now, most career fairs rely on paper maps to companies at a fair, and once you’re at the fair, it’s hard to know what kind of positions each company has available and what their requirements are.
We would like to see a mobile app that allows a map of booths, a way for each company to provide information about themselves, and a way for us to advertise the positions we have available and the requirements for those positions (i.e. a job description).
There are many organizations that have roles that may not immediately come to mind when thinking about the industry they’re in. For example, J.B. Hunt is generally associated with transportation which may appeal to those studying supply chains, but we also make significant technology investments and have a large development organization. Being able to articulate skills or specific majors that we’re actively looking for will help career fair participants use their time effectively.
Winners will receive a choice of a new Play Station 4 or an new Apple Watch.
